Started modeling at the age of thirteen

If it hadn't been for her shopping craze, and a good portion of luck and coincidence she would not have been discovered in a Brazilian shopping center at the early age of thirteen!

Adriana always showed great enthusiasm in front of the camera thus easily winning her first supermodel award competition run by Ford Brazil. Soon after that success she also grabbed hold of second place in the Ford Supermodel Of The World contest.

Her breakthrough

Her breakthrough came during her work for Guess? Wailea, Los Angeles and the campaigns of Costanoa under a contract of the Elite Model Management which she signed for after moving from Brazil to the East Coast of the USA.

Now living in New York many insiders consider the Brazilian supermodel Adriana Lima as the face of Victoria Secret.

It is said that her first big boost in popularity came with her appearance on a billboard very high on the Times Square in NY. Within just a few years, she was erected to one of the greatest stars in the modeling industry working with world class image-makers such us Peter Lindbergh, Ellen von Unwerth or Steven Meisel being captured for: Marie Claire, Elle, Vogue and many other magazines. Adriana has been profiled on The Travel Channel, Extra and Viva as well as having a starring role in the short film, "The Follow" by BMW.

Adriana is currently engaged to musician Lenny Kravitz and appearing in his video for the song Yesterday Is Gone.
